About The Position

The Commissioning Provider II serves as a technical resource supporting Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) projects, primarily focused on HVAC system optimization, operational performance, and verification of energy savings. Projects are generally delivered across complex, multi-building and multi-campus portfolios in higher education and healthcare environments. The role functions as an internal quality and performance resource, collaborating with engineering, construction, controls, and operations teams throughout design and execution. It ensures that system designs and sequences of operation are installed in alignment with project intent and support energy performance targets, while promoting consistent delivery across large, complex, multi-site programs. The position plans and executes commissioning activities, reviews designs, validates sequences of operation, coordinates functional performance testing, and identifies opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and maintainability. It works closely with retro-commissioning teams, controls contractors, and design teams to optimize airside and waterside systems and support successful project turnover and long-term operational performance. The role requires expertise in HVAC systems, building automation systems, energy conservation strategies, commissioning processes, and energy optimization methodologies, as well as a focus on execution quality, documentation, and continuous improvement. Travel of 30–50% is required.
