AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud runs smoothly. This involves supporting all AWS data centers and the associated servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The team comprises diverse specialists including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain experts, security professionals, and operations managers. They collaborate across AWS to maintain high standards of safety and security while delivering scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will be part of a creative and efficient team focused on building and supporting Amazon-owned data centers. The Amazon Commissioning team (ACx) evaluates and manages construction quality according to engineering designs to meet customer requirements. The CxE supports vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in commissioning various systems, including medium and low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, building management systems (BMS), electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS), testing and balancing, and pumps and hydronic systems.
