About The Position

As a Prep Cook, you will play a key role in preparing ingredients and assembling salads in high volumes. Your responsibilities will span the entire salad-making process—from prepping and assembling to labeling and packing orders for shipment. Attention to detail and efficiency are essential in maintaining quality and consistency throughout production.

Requirements

Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout shift
Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders daily
Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill large quantities in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Working in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality
Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift

Responsibilities

Taking customer orders, processing transactions and handling payments accurately
Inputting orders into the point of sales (POS) system and ensuring accuracy of orders
Greeting customers warmly and providing information about menu items, specials and promotions
Addressing customer inquiries, concerns and special requests in a professional and courteous manner
Assisting in the preparation of food items including but not limited to – assembling dishes, making beverages etc
Ensuring prepared food items are made according to company recipes and adhering to healthy and safety regulations
Keeping the food court area clean and organized which includes but not limited to – tables, chairs, service counters etc
Performing regular cleaning tasks such as but not limited to – emptying and disposing of trash, cleaning floors (sweeping/mopping), cleaning counters etc
Monitoring inventory levels of food and beverage items
Restocking supplies, condiments, utensils etc
Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and provide accurate change
Reconcile cash register at the beginning and end of each shift
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
