About The Position

SRQ Auto is seeking an experienced and hardworking Commercial Vehicle Detail & Reconditioning Technician to prepare commercial trucks, cargo vans, box trucks, utility trucks, service bodies, and shuttle buses for sale. This role requires an individual who can manage their time effectively, stay productive with minimal supervision, and produce high-quality work efficiently. The ideal candidate is a detailer who takes pride in their work and possesses a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Professional automotive detailing or reconditioning experience.
• Proficiency in using a buffer/polisher.
• Experience removing decals and adhesive.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Ability to work with urgency while maintaining quality.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Takes ownership of their work.
• Positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with commercial trucks, RVs, boats, or aviation.
• Experience in body shops.
• Experience with paint correction.
• Experience with pressure washing.
• Experience in other professional reconditioning environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete interior and exterior detailing of commercial vehicles.
• Deep clean commercial vehicle interiors.
• Pressure wash trucks, vans, bodies, compartments, and equipment.
• Clean cargo areas, shelving, bins, service bodies, and utility compartments.
• Remove decals, vinyl graphics, lettering, adhesive, and residue.
• Machine buff, polish, wax, and restore vehicle finishes.
• Perform headlight and exterior trim restoration.
• Conduct light cosmetic touch-up work.
• Prepare vehicles for photography and customer delivery.
• Identify cosmetic issues requiring additional attention.
• Follow SRQ Auto's vehicle reconditioning process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
