About The Position

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is hiring a Commercial Truck Driver to operate a company-owned truck from its Orlando warehouse to stores throughout Florida. Routes are entirely within the state and do not require interstate travel. Drivers are home every night and every weekend, and work a Sunday–Wednesday four-day schedule with three consecutive days off. Additional on-call shifts may be needed. Most trucks have manual transmissions, so drivers must be certified to operate a manual vehicle as part of their Class A license. The position includes preparing and completing store deliveries, inspecting and maintaining the truck, completing driver logs, and helping store teams unload merchandise. Drivers also perform warehouse duties shared by all employees, including following safety protocols, lifting cases, maintaining productivity, and keeping the work area clean. The work involves extended time in a moving vehicle, changing weather and temperatures, and warehouse conditions that may include humidity, moving machinery, and elevated work areas.

Requirements

At least 2 years of direct experience driving a Class A truck to transport merchandise to stores, or other truck-driving experience that correlates with the retail environment.
Current, valid CDL Class A license.
Certification to drive a manual vehicle as part of the Class A license; no exceptions.
FMCSA medical certification.
Positive motor vehicle report without infractions.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Solid written communication skills for routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak clearly and effectively with team members, colleagues, customers, and groups.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with challenges or problems quickly and effectively.
At least 19 years of age.
Pass drug and background checks before starting work.
Ability to speak and understand job-level English.
Positive teamwork attitude; reliability and trustworthiness.
Ability to perform the physical motions involved in driving a truck and sit in a vehicle for extended periods.
Required visual acuity, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; corrective lenses or glasses may be used if needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, reach and handle products, and move the body to access products above or below body level.
Occasional sense of smell may be needed to detect damage that is not visible.

Responsibilities

Review the warehouse distribution schedule and plan efficient routes to designated stores.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery truck.
Use map or navigation technology to reach designated locations in a timely manner.
Create, review, and certify daily driver logs using the eLog app.
Drive safely and follow road rules and regulations.
Review and sign delivery invoices and overage or shortage paperwork with the Store or Assistant Manager.
Assist store team members with unloading merchandise and moving it to the store stock room.
Use pallet jacks and trailer lift gates as needed.
Provide service and assistance to store team members and guests when required.
Keep the truck clean and in working order.
Follow ABC safety protocols and promptly report and clean up spills, breakage, or other issues.
Lift 35–50-pound cases and maintain minimum productivity standards.
Assemble boxes as needed, clean and sanitize the warehouse, and prepare the work area for the next day.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
