About The Position

As a Commercial Tire Technician II, you'll perform tire service, repair, and replacement for commercial, medium truck, and agricultural equipment both in the shop and on the road. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service. You'll operate a fully equipped service truck, responding to roadside and customer location service calls while ensuring customers get back up and running quickly and safely.

Requirements

  • Previous commercial tire, agricultural tire, or automotive service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate service trucks and related equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using point-of-sale or service management systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Mount, dismount, repair, and replace commercial, medium truck, and agricultural tires.
  • Perform tire inspections, rotations, flat repairs, and larger tire repairs.
  • Diagnose tire and tube damage and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Operate a commercial boom service truck safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to roadside service calls at customer locations, including highways, construction sites, farms, barns, and industrial facilities.
  • Safely lift and service heavy equipment, including tractors, combines, harvesters, and other agricultural machinery.
  • Understand and safely handle tire ballast, liquid sealants, and agricultural tire applications.
  • Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for daily service calls.
  • Accurately document completed work and communicate with dispatch and service coordinators throughout the day.
  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, professional work environment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while building long-term customer relationships.
