About The Position

A construction superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a construction project, to include, planning, coordination, and execution of various scopes of work. The Superintendent Role Overview includes Key Accountabilities such as overseeing day-to-day field operations on assigned projects, coordinating the work of subcontractors and self-perform teams to avoid conflicts and maintain workflow, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and sequencing plans. The role acts as the primary point of contact on site for field activity coordination, provides direction and feedback to foremen or crew leads, and facilitates collaboration among multiple teams working simultaneously on site. Communication of upcoming needs or schedule changes to subcontractors, operations manager, and project managers is essential, as is working closely with project managers to adjust field plans based on scope changes or resource shifts. Monitoring all field work for compliance with contract documents and company standards, identifying and correcting deficiencies, and supporting the punch-list process are also key responsibilities. The role requires providing daily updates on jobsite conditions, progress, and issues, maintaining jobsite logs and documentation, and relaying labor, equipment, and resource needs. Escalating disputes or issues beyond scope to the project manager or operations leadership and maintaining a professional, responsive, and solutions-focused relationship with the client are also critical.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Construction Best Practices
  • 5+ Years of Hands on Construction Experience
  • 2+ Years of Field Management Experience
  • Procore Mobile Application
  • Intermediate ability to read construction drawings & specifications
  • OSHA 30 Certification (within 90 days)
  • Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Clean Driving Record

Nice To Haves

  • Rigging & Hoisting experience a plus
  • Experience with small construction equipment
  • CPR & First Aid

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors and self-perform teams to avoid conflicts and maintain workflow.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules and sequencing plans.
  • Act as the primary point of contact on site for field activity coordination.
  • Provide direction and feedback to foremen or crew leads assigned to the project, through influence rather than direct reporting.
  • Facilitate collaboration among multiple teams working simultaneously on site.
  • Communicate upcoming needs or schedule changes to subcontractors, operations manager, and project managers.
  • Work closely with project managers to adjust field plans based on scope changes or resource shifts.
  • Monitor all field work (subcontracted and self-performed) for compliance with contract documents and company standards.
  • Identify and correct deficiencies through collaboration with responsible parties.
  • Support the punch-list process and ensure timely completion of corrective work.
  • Provide daily updates to the project manager on jobsite conditions, progress, and issues.
  • Maintain jobsite logs and documentation, including subcontractor attendance, weather delays, and inspections.
  • Relay labor, equipment, and resource needs back to operations or logistics personnel.
  • Escalate disputes or issues beyond scope to the project manager or operations leadership.
  • Maintain a professional, responsive, and solutions-focused relationship with the client throughout the project.
