About The Position

Hughes General Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage and coordinate commercial construction projects, specifically K-12 educational facilities for their Building Division. The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, managing safety, and ensuring high-quality results while communicating effectively with clients and internal teams. The Southern UT division covers a wide geographic area, from Cedar City to the Arizona border and boarder to boarder East and West.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience (K-12 educational facilities preferred)
  • Experience with projects averaging $30M or more (preferred)
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Understanding of subcontractor scopes
  • Supervisory experience (20+ individuals)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Knowledge of state and federal building codes
  • Effective communication skills (English; Spanish a plus)
  • SWPPP certification
  • Ability to direct on-site teams
  • Willingness to relocate locally (as needed)
  • Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to, and at all times, during employment.
