About The Position

The Commercial Solar Installer supports installation work at large commercial solar sites. The role includes preparing and organizing materials, assembling solar arrays and mounting hardware, installing racking, modules, and electrical equipment, documenting completed work, and maintaining a clean jobsite. The installer may also perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of roofing, solar installation, or general construction experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme environments, including sun, cold, and crawl spaces.
• Willingness and ability to climb ladders and stairs, work on rooftops, remain on one's feet for long periods, and work comfortably at heights.
• Reliability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

• Previous solar experience.

Responsibilities

• Help with inventory pulls and organize parts for large commercial sites.
• Pre-assemble job materials.
• Lay out and assemble solar modules, arrays, and mounting hardware.
• Mechanically and structurally mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
• Communicate and document job completion.
• Clean up the jobsite nightly and at the end of the project.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
