About The Position

The Commercial Sales role is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the warehousing, cross-docking, and local freight sectors. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. This role combines strategic prospecting, solution-based selling, and relationship management to deliver customized logistics solutions. Success in this position directly contributes to revenue generation, market expansion, and the company’s overall competitive position. The position plays a key role in expanding the organization’s customer base while ensuring long-term client satisfaction and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in B2B sales; alternatively, 4–6+ years of equivalent industry experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Typically requires 3–5+ years of progressive experience in commercial sales within logistics, supply chain, or transportation environments
  • Proven track record of generating new business, managing client relationships, and achieving or exceeding sales targets

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the logistics, warehousing, or transportation industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with organizational growth priorities
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline across target industries
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover new opportunities
  • Engage in networking, prospecting, and lead generation activities
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales, revenue and margin targets
  • Develop customized logistics solutions tailored to client needs
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality sales presentations, proposals, and pricing strategies
  • Lead contract negotiations, balancing customer expectations with company profitability
  • Structure agreements that support long-term client relationships and business growth
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to deliver value for both the client and the company
  • Partner with operations, pricing, and finance teams to ensure solution feasibility
  • Translate client requirements into actionable operational plans
  • Support onboarding and implementation of new clients
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and service delivery
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports
  • Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
