About The Position

As a Commercial Sales Support Specialist, you will manage account relationships. This role involves creating and managing daily customer quotations, negotiating plan and spec jobs with respective house accounts, and handling order entry, order maintenance, and the management of the order delivery process. You will also manage the weekly bid schedule, prioritize projects, and communicate bid dates and times. This includes coordinating quoting responsibilities and objectives with Commercial Territory Managers. Additionally, you will manage the quote follow-up process, including updating weekly open quote reports, updating the CRM to reflect quote status, and coordinating with 3rd party vendors. The role also assists in credit and collection activities, manages the order credit approval process to avoid delays and past due orders, and prepares and manages submittals and orders accurately, reducing manual overrides and allowances. Finally, you will coordinate and manage quotes and orders within guidelines for residential districts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Effective at written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate industry and product knowledge.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
