About The Position

The Commercial/Sales Account Manager provides personalized solutions to fit our customer’s equipment, tooling, and consumable needs. This will include transactional sales as well as strategic accounts sales. The ideal candidate is a team player who displays exceptional sales and customer service skills, along with the ability to build/maintain long-term relationships. The customer base would include project sites, construction businesses, contractors, scaffolding, industrial, electrical power welding & rigging industries to name a few.

Requirements

  • Nine (9) years of experience in outside sales, account management or business development (construction equipment industry preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis, report generation and formulating sales quotes/materials/presentations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good leadership and managing skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Understands account management.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the company’s business, business goals, and ability to serve clients.
  • Understands commercial/contract terms and negotiation strategy for selling integrated packages.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to maintain a heavy travel schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience would be a definite plus, particularly SAP Business One.

Responsibilities

  • Increasing the company’s market share by prospecting new business while servicing and growing existing accounts in assigned territory.
  • Fostering and forging new/existing relationships that impact the long-term success and sales of our products and services, including quoting and selling/up-selling/cross-selling to drive an increased share of customer spend and trust in AMECO.
  • Proactively identify profitable sales opportunities.
  • Continual cross-selling across AMECO’s various business, lines, platforms, and service offerings.
  • Managing assigned account base ensuring customer service/satisfaction expectations are met while achieving sales and profitability objectives.
  • Develop, monitor, negotiate and secure contracts for agreed-upon services.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations.
  • Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement an appropriate course of action.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
  • May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
