About The Position

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will work closely with Business Owners and General Contractors to manage all field roofing personnel and oversee all roofing operations. This role is responsible and accountable for the company's profit as related to roofing job costs and controlling costs related to roofing operations. Responsibilities include managing mobilization, logistical requirements, and demobilization, ensuring material storage and protection meets construction document requirements, and overseeing the roof installation process to ensure adherence to specifications, shop drawings, and scope of work. The Superintendent will also provide daily reports documenting site conditions, work performed, and any deficiencies, and ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years Commercial Roofing experience.
Minimum 1 year Commercial Roofing experience as a Superintendent.
Must represent Rackley Roofing Company, Inc. to customers, vendors, industry professionals, and other RRCI employees in a professional manner at all times.

Responsibilities

Manage all field roofing personnel and oversee all roofing operations.
Responsible and accountable for the Company profit as related to roofing job costs.
Responsible for controlling cost related to roofing operations.
Manage mobilization, logistical requirements, and demobilization.
Attend Project Preconstruction Meetings.
Ensure site mobilization plan is followed by field personnel.
Walk grounds and provide reports of existing conditions.
Inspect jobsite during demobilization to ensure logistical closure.
Ensure all materials on the job meet construction document requirements.
Ensure all materials are properly secured and protected at the jobsite.
Ensure all material is stored and installed within correct environmental conditions.
Inspect substrates at the time of visit and ensure acceptability before roof system installation.
Ensure specifications, shop drawings, and scope of work are followed exactly.
Ensure all materials are installed with correct adhesives and fasteners in the correct fastening pattern.
Ensure all materials are installed with correct lapping, jointing, and staggering.
Ensure all materials are installed at the correct heat and rate.
Ensure all materials are installed at correct mil or thickness rate.
Ensure all trash is properly secured and protected at the jobsite.
Ensure all safety equipment, specifically warning lines and stands, are properly secured.
Provide and document quality control photos and summaries in Daily Reports.
Ensure all RRCI Company Policies and Procedures are being followed.
Ensure housekeeping is monitored daily.
Inspect susceptible projects prior to rain events and ensure night tie-ins are in place.
Check overall quality of each project during site inspections.
Provide Daily Reports within 24 hours of completion.
Document and communicate any deficiencies to the Foreman, Project Manager, and Manager of Operations.
Perform all duties outlined in the job description and standard procedure.
Manage business daily through communication, professionalism, respect, organization, and efficiency.
Perform duties and be held accountable per items described in Operations.
Ensure quality, consistency, and timely submission of daily documents.
