Established in 1986 and veteran-owned, we are an energetic, optimistic, and family-oriented construction company based in Kansas City, known for excellence in workmanship and customer service. We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee roofing construction activities, including project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, while improving accountability and efficiency. The Superintendent will be responsible for the overall outcome of projects in a safety-focused, supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, tapered systems, shingles, WV, FA)
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain quickly)
  • Valid driver’s license (MO Class E or equivalent) and DOT MedCard
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews, resources, and multiple projects
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and specifications
  • Detail‑oriented, accountable decision‑maker with solid time management skills
  • Professional, effective written and verbal communication

  • High School Diploma and GED
  • 5-10 years in construction and roofing related industries
  • 2 years of team management experience
  • Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
  • Ability to perform elevated work (work on rooftops, heights)
  • Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greater
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, walking

Responsibilities

  • Lead roofing crews and subcontractors to deliver safe, high-quality, on-time work
  • Oversee daily jobsite operations, ensuring safety, production, and quality
  • Enforce OSHA/company safety standards; stop work if conditions are unsafe
  • Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subs to avoid delays
  • Partner with Project Managers and Foremen to execute scope and schedule
  • Track progress, labor, and percent complete; maintain reports and documentation
  • Resolve issues proactively, manage change orders, and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Complete projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
