About The Position

Skillforce has teamed up with a leading commercial roofing company to hire an experienced Commercial Roofing Sales/Estimator. This is a full-time, direct-hire position based in the Capitol Heights, Maryland area, with local travel to job sites. The role combines commercial roofing field knowledge, estimating, and business development to drive service sales, inspect roofing systems, develop repair estimates, and build lasting client relationships. The position focuses on delivering profitable repair and maintenance solutions.

Requirements

3–5 years of commercial roofing field experience.
Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, metal roofing, and coatings.
Ability to assess roof conditions, determine repair needs, and calculate labor and material costs.
Ability to interpret construction documents and use estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to safely access rooftops and work outdoors.

Nice To Haves

Experience in roofing sales, estimating, or project management.

Responsibilities

Develop new business and grow existing commercial roofing accounts.
Inspect roofs, identify leaks and deficiencies, and recommend appropriate repairs.
Prepare accurate estimates, pricing, and service proposals.
Follow up with prospects, negotiate agreements, and meet sales and profitability goals.
Build relationships with property owners, facility managers, contractors, and building engineers.
Coordinate approved work with service management and field crews.
Monitor project progress, address customer concerns, and identify additional service opportunities.
