Executive Roofing Systems is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Sales Representative / Estimator to join their team. This role is crucial for revenue generation, focusing on managing customer relationships, responding to opportunities, assessing roofing needs, estimating repair and maintenance work, and selling solutions. The position encompasses the entire service sales process, from initial contact to closing the deal, with a primary emphasis on commercial roof repairs, leak management, preventative maintenance, inspections, and recurring maintenance agreements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial roofing, excel at relationship building, demonstrate consistent follow-up, and take ownership of their opportunities. Key skills include the ability to inspect roofs, identify problems, develop practical solutions, communicate effectively with customers, and foster long-term relationships. Requirements

  • Commercial roofing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in commercial roofing sales, service, estimating, account management, or a similar customer facing roofing role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings, shingles, and metal roofing.
  • Understanding of commercial roof repairs, leak investigation, preventative maintenance, and common roof deficiencies.
  • Ability to perform roof inspections and identify appropriate repair and maintenance solutions.
  • Ability to develop scopes of work and estimate commercial roofing repairs.
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable prospecting and developing new business.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to move opportunities through the sales process.
  • Professional and confident communicating with building owners, property managers, facility managers, and other decision makers.
  • Customer focused with the ability to build long term relationships.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple customers, estimates, proposals, follow ups, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, estimating tools, email, mobile applications, and other technology.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer properties and job sites throughout the market.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new commercial roofing service, repair, and maintenance opportunities.
  • Prospect and develop relationships with building owners, property managers, facility managers, and other commercial decision-makers.
  • Build new relationships through outreach, networking, referrals, existing customer relationships, and other business development activities.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to inbound leads and new customer inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for repairs, inspections, maintenance, and recurring service.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing Executive Roofing customers.
  • Serve as a trusted roofing resource and help customers proactively manage their roofing needs.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow up with key accounts.
  • Identify additional service and repair opportunities across customer properties and portfolios.
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and recurring business.
  • Represent Executive Roofing with responsiveness, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset.
  • Perform commercial roof inspections, service assessments, and site surveys.
  • Evaluate existing roof systems, leak conditions, deficiencies, penetrations, drainage, details, and overall roof conditions.
  • Identify immediate repair needs as well as longer term maintenance opportunities.
  • Document field conditions with clear notes, measurements, and photos.
  • Develop practical scopes of work based on roof conditions and customer needs.
  • Recommend appropriate repair, maintenance, and preventative solutions.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for commercial roofing repairs, maintenance, and service work.
  • Develop clear, professional, and complete scopes and proposals.
  • Account for labor, materials, equipment, access, logistics, and other costs required to complete the work.
  • Work with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and internal team members when additional pricing or technical information is required.
  • Ensure pricing, scope, exclusions, and recommendations are accurate before proposals are released.
  • Present repair and maintenance recommendations clearly and professionally to customers.
  • Follow up consistently on open estimates and proposals.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, scope changes, and pricing discussions throughout the sales process.
  • Maintain ownership of opportunities from initial lead through signed proposal.
  • Work to convert one time repair customers into long term Executive Roofing relationships.
  • Meet established sales, activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.
  • Educate customers on the value of proactive roof inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Identify properties that would benefit from recurring roof maintenance.
  • Develop and sell preventative maintenance agreements.
  • Help customers create a proactive approach to extending roof life and reducing unexpected roofing issues.
  • Grow recurring maintenance revenue and long term customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and current customer and opportunity information within the company CRM.
  • Track leads, inspections, estimates, proposals, follow ups, sales activity, and pipeline status.
  • Maintain organized photos, documentation, inspection findings, scopes, and customer communication.
  • Keep opportunities moving through the sales process and ensure follow ups are completed on time.
  • Provide visibility into pipeline activity, upcoming opportunities, and sales performance.
  • Own a complete and organized handoff of sold work to the Service and Operations teams.
  • Clearly communicate scope, pricing assumptions, customer expectations, access requirements, materials, logistics, and other important job information.
  • Ensure the team has the documentation and information needed to properly schedule and execute the work.
  • Remain available as a customer and technical resource when scope questions arise.
