About The Position

Fort Wayne Roofing, a Tecta America Commercial Roofing Company, is hiring commercial roofing laborers in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role involves installing and repairing roofs using commercial roofing systems, including built-up roofing (BUR), modified bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and sloped roofing such as tile and shingles. Workers perform roofing tasks to manufacturer and job specifications while following safety rules and working as part of a team. The position involves outdoor work in extreme weather, working at heights and on roofs, and frequent physical activity. Work is mostly local, with travel of up to one hour. Starting pay is $23 per hour. Spanish is spoken.

Requirements

At least 1 year of commercial roofing experience and/or construction experience.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
Able to lift more than 50 pounds and perform repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling.
Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 feet and working on a roof.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license preferred.
Knowledge of roofing systems such as EPDM, TPO, PVC, and low-slope roofing is useful but not required.
Previous residential and/or commercial roofing or construction experience is an advantage.
