About The Position

Roofers are responsible for being an effective member of a roofing crew to complete daily production goals. This role involves working with a crew to complete all aspects of assigned jobs, including tear-off, repairs, installations, and other tasks. The position requires participation in trainings, performing quality and safe work, and mentoring less-experienced crew members. The roofer must be able to follow safety guidelines, work various hours with excellent attendance, learn new tasks, and work with diverse teams respectfully. They need to follow instructions, solve informal leadership challenges, possess excellent tape measure and mathematical skills, maintain required tools and PPE, and be able to communicate in English or Spanish. Passing a pre-employment physical, agility test, and drug screen is mandatory. A valid driver's license is preferred. The roofer must also be able to inspect tools and equipment for proper use.

• At least 2 years, or equivalent, of Commercial Roofing experience is required.
• Forklift experience and certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work with crew to complete all aspects of assigned job including tear-off, repairs, installations, and other tasks assigned.
• Assist with job site cleanup such as trash and debris control.
• Participate in trainings including on the job training and companywide mandatory trainings.
• Perform work that meets the company standard of having quality, watertight, productive, and safe work.
• Completes quality detailed work including heat welds, pipe boots, etc.
• Mentor less-experienced crew members on intermediate commercial roofing skills.
