About The Position

Mr. C Refrigeration is seeking a qualified refrigeration installer to join their team. This role involves the installation and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems, including condensing units, compressors, evaporators, and walk-in coolers/freezers. The installer will be responsible for refrigeration piping, installation of pipe supports and insulation, and reading blueprints. The position also includes conducting change-outs, retrofits, mechanical upgrades, and installing large refrigeration panels with carpentry work. Safety compliance with OSHA procedures is essential, as is effective communication and time management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
EPA Certification.
Experience with commercial refrigeration systems.
Skills in working with condensing units, compressors, and evaporators.
Proficiency in refrigeration piping (suction, liquid, and discharge) using brazing, soldering, and pressure testing.
Ability to install pipe supports, hangers, and insulation.
Experience installing and maintaining walk-in coolers/freezers and ice machines.
Ability to read and interpret refrigeration drawings and blueprints.
Experience using copper piping and various refrigeration installation methods.
Experience with change-outs, retrofits, and mechanical upgrades.
Experience installing large refrigeration panels, including carpentry work.
Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Time management and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Installation and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems.
