About The Position

3Wire is seeking experienced, professional Commercial Refrigeration Service Technicians to service commercial kitchen equipment in the Greater Los Angeles area. The company repairs equipment in restaurants, hotels, and institutions throughout California and Washington, and also provides preventive maintenance, installations, and training. The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment, communicating with dispatch and customers, maintaining a company vehicle and its inventory, and returning parts to the warranty department. Technicians must be available for overtime calls and weekend service schedules.

Requirements

Previous experience servicing refrigeration, cooking, or HVAC equipment, or related military experience.
Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
Extremely strong customer communication skills.
Dedication to working hard, being punctual, and staying organized.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the company's safety standard.

Nice To Haves

Experience with walk-ins, coolers, freezers, ice machines, prep tables, fryers, ovens, steamers, ranges, broilers, and ware-wash equipment.
CFESA certification and related training.
EPA Universal Certification.
Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration and cooking equipment.
Communicate with dispatch upon arrival at and departure from assignments.
Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts, including dispatchers, parts agents, customers, general managers, and suppliers.
Be available for overtime calls and weekend service schedules.
Maintain the company vehicle, including its cleanliness, upkeep, organization, and inventory monitoring.
Return parts to the warranty department.
