About The Position

Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Atlanta office. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior law firm experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial real estate matters. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about handling a wide range of transactions, including the development, acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial properties, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will be working closely with attorneys and a collaborative team to manage all phases of commercial real estate transactions and leasing matters.

Requirements

• Prior law firm experience supporting attorneys in complex commercial real estate matters
• 3 + years of experience supporting commercial real estate transactions in a law firm setting
• Demonstrated experience with title and survey review, real estate closings, and commercial real estate leasing
• Strong technical proficiency and document management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining accuracy and organization
• Comfortable managing multiple transactions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and abstracting purchase agreements and ground leases
• Preparing critical dates memoranda and closing checklists
• Analyzing title commitments, surveys, and underlying title documents
• Drafting title summaries and objection letters
• Coordinating closings
• Managing post-closing matters, including recordings and title policy issuance
• Drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial leases, amendments, and related documents
• Coordinating with clients and title companies to ensure timely execution and resolution of issues
