About The Position
Greysteel is hiring a Commercial Real Estate Analyst to support its property advisory services for private, middle-market, and institutional real estate investors. The role involves asset valuation, financial underwriting, market positioning analysis, preparation of offering materials, market and submarket research, and deal execution. It offers immediate responsibility and the opportunity for accelerated professional growth as part of a close-knit, dynamic team. The analyst performs financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis, maintains models using Excel and RedIQ, and uses large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude to streamline processes and workflows. The role also supports due diligence, market-data analysis, reporting, and preparation of financial or executive summaries for active listings.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and financial-modeling skills, with a proven background in financial modeling using Excel and other industry-standard software.
- Argus experience is required.
- A strong understanding of real estate valuation methodologies and applications.
- Ability to analyze and communicate key financial and related information.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively independently and with a team.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take ownership of and accountability for projects and tasks.
- Ability to delegate, manage, and coordinate delivery of the end product.
- Superior attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Database experience is a plus.
- A bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform complicated financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis in Excel.
- Prepare and maintain financial models using Excel, RedIQ, and similar tools.
- Leverage large language models such as ChatGPT and Claude to streamline processes and workflows.
- Review and analyze legal documents and third-party reports as part of the due-diligence process.
- Coordinate information and prepare reports on market data, occupancy data, expense analysis, aerials, maps, and rent and sales comparables.
- Prepare financial or executive summaries for all active listings.
- Organize and present data analysis, draw objective conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Support asset valuation, financial underwriting, market positioning analysis, preparation of offering materials, market and submarket research, and deal execution.
