About The Position

The Commercial Real Estate Credit Analyst I supports the underwriting, monitoring, and administration of commercial real estate lending relationships. The role analyzes borrower, guarantor, and property financial information; assists with credit analyses and approval memoranda; and supports ongoing portfolio management. Under the guidance of senior credit professionals, the analyst develops foundational knowledge of commercial real estate lending, credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and bank credit policies while contributing to sound credit decisions and portfolio quality.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, another business-related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of banking or related experience.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and financial data analysis and reporting.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Underwrite lending opportunities, analyze financial statements, and develop cash flow models to support commercial and commercial real estate loans.
Prepare ongoing credit evaluations, quarterly reporting, financial statement analyses, risk ratings, regulatory reviews, and annual reviews.
Analyze and monitor a commercial loan portfolio.
Keep loan documentation, financial statement requirements, and other compliance requirements up to date.
Develop basic knowledge of banking, the commercial real estate industry, corporate and commercial real estate borrowers, and collateral types.
Assist with preparation of required internal reporting.
Understand and comply with all regulations.
