About The Position

Continuum Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Service Manager to lead and support a team of approximately 12–15 plumbing professionals throughout Metro Detroit. This is a highly visible, field-focused leadership position for someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, developing technicians, and keeping commercial plumbing projects and service work moving forward. You’ll spend approximately 70% of your time in the field, working alongside your team, assessing jobsite needs, and providing hands-on technical guidance. The strongest candidate will be a hands-on leader who earns the trust of experienced technicians and knows when to coach, step in, or escalate an issue. You should be resourceful, tenacious, comfortable thinking outside the box, and committed to helping your team succeed. Candidates with established commercial relationships, a history of building strong teams, and a demonstrated ability to create meaningful business growth are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Current Journeyman or Master Plumber license.
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and applicable plumbing codes.
Significant commercial plumbing experience.
Proven leadership experience, ideally five or more years leading, mentoring, or developing plumbing professionals.
Working knowledge of estimating and job-cost considerations.

Nice To Haves

Experience hiring, building, or expanding a skilled trades team is a plus.
OSHA 30 certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 12–15 plumbing technicians.
Spend approximately 70% of your time in the field providing hands-on support, troubleshooting problems, and assessing jobsite needs.
Manage technician schedules, workloads, and service priorities.
Serve as the first point of contact when technicians encounter challenging situations in the field.
Oversee commercial plumbing service work and projects from planning through completion.
Conduct site visits and monitor work for quality, safety, code compliance, and adherence to specifications.
Provide technical guidance and help the team find practical solutions to complex problems.
Assist with estimating, job scoping, and coordination when needed.
Interview, hire, train, and help build a strong plumbing team.
Maintain clear communication with technicians, customers, coordinators, and company leadership.
Support after-hours needs when a technician requires guidance or assistance.
