About The Position

RQ is hiring Pipefitters for ongoing construction work at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia, and surrounding project locations. The role is on-site and supports RQ’s Mechanical team on an active military construction site. The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and plan piping systems, applying journeyman-level pipefitting skills in accordance with code on a Department of Defense project. The stated pay range is $20.94–$46.25 per hour, depending on experience, under the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base. The schedule is full-time. Candidates must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at hire and successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check. A stricter Department of Defense background check is also required for access to the military base, when applicable to the position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 4 years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience in commercial, facilities, government, or military construction.
Mechanical pipe installation experience.
Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for military-base access when applicable.

Nice To Haves

Deep underground pipefitting experience.
