About The Position

RQ is hiring Pipefitters for ongoing construction work at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia, and surrounding project locations. The role is full-time and on-site. As part of RQ’s Mechanical team on an active military construction site, the Pipefitter will assemble, install, and plan piping systems, applying journeyman-level pipefitting skills to code on a Department of Defense project. Pay is $20.94–$46.25 per hour, depending on experience, under the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage specific to the base.

RQ, also identified as RQC, LLC, has worked in commercial and government Design-Build construction since 1996, with a focus on Department of Defense projects. Candidates must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at hire and successfully pass drug screening and commercial criminal background checks, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to the military base, if applicable. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience in commercial, facilities, government, or military construction.
• Mechanical pipe installation experience.
• Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
• Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for military-base access when applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Deep underground pipefitting experience.
• Experience with copper and carbon steel.
• Experience with boilers and chiller lines.
• Valid Pipefitter license or journeyman card.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
