About The Position

ABC Home & Commercial Services is hiring a versatile Pest Control Technician to support multiple routes, teams, and service areas as operational needs require. The role involves inspecting residential properties, identifying general pest issues, applying treatments, and advising homeowners on prevention and treatment plans. Technicians maintain records of inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits and follow safety protocols and company standards while working independently or with other technicians. The position may involve climbing ladders, walking roofs, accessing tight spaces, and performing other physical tasks. ABC Home and Commercial Services has provided pest, pool, and lawn services in the Houston area for over 30 years. Technicians may start their workday from home and receive a company vehicle, gas card, and cell phone for work use.

Requirements

Prior pest control experience is preferred but not required.
Be comfortable using smartphones and other smart devices and navigating multiple applications.
Be comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces, including crawl spaces and attics.
Be able to walk on roofs and perform the physical tasks required for pest inspections and treatments.
Have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Have excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Have a driving record of at least five years and meet ABC’s driving and MVR requirements.
Pass background checks, drug screenings, and a physical examination.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be able to frequently carry up to 50 pounds, work in any weather climate, and stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Be able to work safely in various indoor and outdoor environments while performing the essential functions of the position.
