About The Position

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and grounds across a commercial building portfolio in the San Antonio area. The role includes responding to maintenance requests and emergencies, inspecting building systems, and overseeing work completed by third-party vendors.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct work experience in commercial property maintenance and operations.
• Knowledge of facility maintenance and repairs, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting systems, and other general repairs.
• Reliable transportation and a good driving record.
• Professional, dependable, flexible, and accountable, with effective communication skills, a positive attitude, and strong tenant-relations skills.
• Motivated and able to take initiative to complete tasks without constant direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and maintenance requests, emergency repairs and response calls, and preventive maintenance.
• Regularly inspect properties and ensure building systems—including elevator, HVAC, fire, plumbing, and electrical systems—are operating properly and well maintained.
• Inspect and oversee maintenance or repairs performed by third-party vendors to ensure the work is completed properly and according to the scope of work.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, including after-hours emergency calls.
• Perform other duties as needed, as determined by the Property Manager.
