About The Position

This position may be performed at different branch locations based on office availability. As a Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for working directly with an assigned commercial lender(s) to assist in developing new loan requests (including lines and letters of credit renewals), closing loans, following up on delinquent loans, requesting borrower financial information, performing financial analysis, and preparing periodic reviews for new and existing customers, with a portfolio risk profile consistent with Union Bank’s objectives. You will interact directly with customers, Credit Analysts and Loan Assistants to meet or exceed the needs of the Bank’s customers. You have a key role in monitoring credit performance, working with loan review and regulatory agencies and underwriting on existing customer portfolios. In this position, you are encouraged to develop a knowledge base of commercial lending, credit analysis and commercial loan documentation. This will consist of a combination of on-the-job, classroom, and online training.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Business Management or 5 years of banking and/or accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year banking experience.
  • Good organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of credit and lending processes, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted commercial loan credit analysis and underwriting methods and criteria.
  • Knowledge of commercial loan products and banking services.

Responsibilities
