About The Position

Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for its Baton Rouge office. The firm serves a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, national businesses, and local companies, across Louisiana and Texas. This role involves all phases of litigation, case reporting, electronic discovery, and depositions, through to trial. The attorney will work closely with partners and have direct client interaction, managing a caseload independently from start to finish. The position requires strong legal skills, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to collaborate within a team. Candidates must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

Requirements

Minimum three (3) years’ litigation experience.
Experience in taking depositions, writing motions, and responding to discovery are highly desired.
Excellent academic credentials.
Strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic discovery platforms.

Responsibilities

Work on all phases of litigation, case reporting, electronic discovery, and depositions, through trial.
Interact directly with Kean Miller’s clients.
Further develop client and referral relationships.
Independently manage a caseload from beginning to end.
Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
Take the lead with client communication.
Provide meaningful updates to clients.
