About The Position

Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for its Baton Rouge office. The firm serves a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, national businesses, and local companies, providing efficient legal services and practical advice. Attorneys at Kean Miller work on all phases of litigation, from case reporting and electronic discovery to depositions and trial. The role requires candidates to interact directly with clients, develop client and referral relationships, and independently manage a caseload. This position is based in Baton Rouge, and candidates must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

Requirements

Minimum three (3) years’ litigation experience.
Excellent academic credentials.
Strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.

Nice To Haves

Experience in taking depositions.
Experience in writing motions.
Experience in responding to discovery.
Experience with electronic discovery platforms.

Responsibilities

Work on all phases of litigation, case reporting, electronic discovery, and depositions, through trial.
Take depositions.
Write motions.
Respond to discovery.
Interact directly with Kean Miller’s clients.
Further develop client and referral relationships.
Independently manage a caseload from beginning to end.
Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
Have experience with electronic discovery platforms.
Take the lead with client communication.
Provide meaningful updates.
