Commercial Lines Team Lead

HUB InternationalEdmonton, AB
Onsite

About The Position

As a Commercial Lines Team Lead at HUB, you will step into a role that keeps you close to the work you know while adding a new dimension to it. You will lead a team of Commercial Account Advisors and Associates at our Edmonton 55 Ave branch, supporting them through complex files, tricky client situations, and the kind of day-to-day decisions that are harder to make when you are early in your career. You will also stay technically active – this is not a role where you hand off your commercial knowledge at the door. The right person for this role does not need to have held a leadership title before. What they do need is deep commercial lines experience, a reputation for being someone others come to for answers, and a genuine interest in helping people grow.

Requirements

  • Level 2 General Insurance License is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance at a brokerage, with a solid working knowledge across property, liability, and related commercial coverages
  • A track record of being the person others come to for support
  • Experience handling a commercial book independently, including renewals, endorsements, marketing submissions, and client communication
  • Proficiency in Applied Epic; comfortable supporting others in using it effectively
  • Strong communication skills – you give clear direction, deliver feedback constructively, and can hold a difficult conversation without it derailing
