Requirements

Valid Insurance Producer License in the relevant state(s) is required (or ability to obtain licensing within 60 days of hire).
Proven experience in commercial lines insurance sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including property, liability, workers' compensation, business auto, and other commercial lines coverage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client needs and offer effective insurance solutions.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools to track and manage activities.
A collaborative mindset with an emphasis on teamwork and partnership across the organization.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Industry designations such as CIC, CPCU, or ARM are a plus.
Knowledge of local markets and business communities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential clients and fostering relationships.
Build and maintain a growing book of commercial lines insurance accounts.
Assess clients' insurance needs and provide customized recommendations for coverage.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to clients and prospects.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of policies, endorsements, and renewals.
Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional coverage.
Stay informed of industry trends, products, and competitors to effectively address client inquiries and maintain a competitive advantage.
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies related to insurance practices.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate risks and understand their coverage options.
Actively participate in networking events, industry meetings, and community engagement activities to build strong connections and enhance the organization’s visibility.
