About The Position

The Commercial Lines P&C Producer services and sells commercial insurance products while building long-term client relationships. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely and, in the office, with a focus on consultative selling, prospecting, retention, and collaboration with internal teams. The role combines client facing impact with strategic business development across the Tampa Bay market.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ personal and commercial lines experience with an independent insurance agency strongly preferred.
  • Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty license.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and pass a background check.
  • Strong knowledge of both personal and commercial insurance products as well as risk assessment practices.
  • Proven consultative sales skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems and CRM tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and results driven.
  • Ability to multitask and operate effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, quote, and sell commercial property & casualty insurance policies.
  • Analyze business operations and risk exposure to develop tailored insurance solutions.
  • Meet quarterly/ annual sales quotas by following established agency processes.
  • Prospect for new business through community involvement and outreach to Achieva Credit Union members, and close new commercial accounts across a range of industries and risk classes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Manage policy expirations, renewals, and retention efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to support renewals and resolve service-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and carrier requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and regulatory changes.
  • Utilize agency management and CRM tools (e.g., AgencyZoom, EZLYNX) to track activities and client interactions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales efforts, policy information, and renewal workflows.
  • Participate in incentive and recognition programs tied to performance metrics.
  • Represent the credit union with professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Represent and uphold the Achieva Brand Frame.
  • Support leadership initiatives that position the credit union as a top employer.
  • Participate in annual training or as required by BSA and the Privacy Act.
  • Perform other essential functions as needed or assigned.
  • Travel may be required on occasion.
  • Be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends to meet member and business demands.
