About The Position

The Commercial Lines Insurance Processor supports Commercial Lines Customer Service Agents by handling the day-to-day servicing, documentation, and processing needs of assigned accounts. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with agency and carrier requirements.

Requirements

  • Active Indiana Property & Casualty license, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the insurance industry
  • Familiarity with commercial Property & Casualty coverages, carriers, and products preferred but not required
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to work in a digital environment; experience with Applied Epic a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, carrier portals, and phone systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, as permitted by law

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with commercial Property & Casualty coverages, carriers, and products
  • Experience with Applied Epic

Responsibilities

  • Process policy changes, endorsements, audits, and new/renewal policies in accordance with agency procedures
  • Prepare and issue certificates of insurance
  • Order and review Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs)
  • Update applications and compile underwriting materials, including loss runs, workers’ compensation mod worksheets, cover letters, and supporting documentation for carrier submission
  • Assemble proposals, binders, and Auto ID cards for client delivery
  • Provide administrative and project-based support to the Commercial Lines team as needed
