About The Position

Deland, Gibson Insurance is a growing independent agency seeking a driven Commercial Lines Inside Sales Representative to convert warm, high-intent inbound leads into bound policies. You will work with inbound small commercial opportunities generated through marketing, referrals, and carrier/agency channels - no cold calling or outbound prospecting required. The focus is on consultative selling and execution by turning qualified opportunities into bound business through quoting, binding, and issuance. This role offers strong earning potential with a base salary plus commission, and the opportunity to grow within a high-performing commercial insurance sales team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial insurance
  • Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty License
  • Strong communication skills with confidence handling inbound sales conversations
  • Proven ability to manage pipeline activity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and organizational skills
  • Experience with CRM systems (Applied Epic a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for warm inbound small commercial leads from first contact through quote, bind, and issuance
  • Respond quickly to inbound calls, emails, and web-generated opportunities to maximize conversion rates
  • Market, quote, present, bind, and issue policies with preferred carriers
  • Conduct consultative, needs-based sales conversations with small business clients
  • Cross-sell additional coverages to build comprehensive insurance programs
  • Gather underwriting information, submit applications, and manage carrier follow-ups
  • Maintain urgency on open quotes to improve close ratios and hit monthly sales targets
  • Partner with producers, account managers, and carrier partners to ensure smooth execution
  • Accurately track all activity, pipeline, and outcomes in Applied Epic
  • Ensure a seamless transition to service teams after binding
