About The Position

NFP, an Aon company, is seeking an experienced Account Manager or Senior Account Manager with generalist coverage experience and ideally have also serviced niche Eldercare Facilities clients. This role involves a critical advisory capacity, focusing on high-level client engagement and relationship management for middle-market and complex clients. The position requires expertise in coverage analysis, claim review, and risk management, with the ability to provide impactful insurance program solutions using critical thinking. The role also involves conducting presentations and client meetings, supporting multiple Producers, and managing a book of business. This is a full-time remote position with typical work hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Candidates are ideally located in the mid-Atlantic or East Coast to facilitate occasional travel for client meetings or to designated offices.

Requirements

  • Property and casualty insurance license upon hire is required.
  • Ideally 5+ years Property Casualty servicing experience.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this knowledge clearly to clients and underwriters.
  • Strong written, verbal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, to include Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Experience with all property and casualty coverage lines, general liability, professional liability, property, builders risk, difference in conditions (DIC), flood, deductible buy down workers compensation and auto.
  • Ideally versed with management liability coverage lines (D&O, EPL, Crime, Cyber and Fiduciary).

Nice To Haves

  • Serviced niche Eldercare Facilities clients (includes long-term care, senior living, independent living, assisted living, nursing homes, home health, rehab and hospice).
  • Professional designations preferred/helpful (CIC, AAI, CISR, CPIA).
  • BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • EPIC experience is preferred, but will consider other agency management system experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage primary client relationship and development of customer service plan.
  • Maintain a focus on growth and retention of assigned book of business.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of trust with clients through consistent contact and proactive resolution of any actionable serving items, questions or concerns.
  • Initiate client meeting to strategize for the renewal marketing process.
  • Advise on the best coverage alternatives.
  • Review ownership and management contracts, property leases and other contractual documents to gather important information and insurance requirements for compliance purposes.
  • Discuss and negotiate coverage and related pricing with carriers and wholesalers based on in-depth understanding of client’s exposures and historical claims.
  • Prepare renewal submission based on strategy client meeting results, including loss analysis, changes in exposure/operations and recommended coverage options.
  • Conduct renewal presentation with clients either individually or with other members of the team.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Marketing/Underwriting Process including selecting appropriate markets based on appetite, presenting the clients operational story in the best light to the underwriter, summarizing historical claims, documenting carrier clearance.
  • Maintain high-level and consistent carrier/wholesale communication to obtain the most comprehensive quote by the target timeline.
  • Act as a strategic negotiator to obtain comprehensive coverage and most competitive premium.
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners including carrier underwriters, wholesalers and any other professional service providers.
  • Set priorities and manage workflow and timelines to ensure goals are met.
  • Document correspondence, electronic documents and all pending activities within the Management Operating System.
  • Engage and encourage consistent professional communication with clients, carriers and staff.
  • Provide consistent and clear guidance to the associate account manager or other support staff.
  • Oversee and sign off of all client servicing tasks, Pre-Renewal and Post-binding work that the assigned associate is accountable for.
  • Stay informed with industry insurance information, training, new available markets or technologies and changing legislation affecting the eldercare industry.
  • Engage the assigned associate in client virtual and/or phone calls for team understanding of next steps and outcomes.
  • Communicate proactively with the assigned associate to foster high level of collaboration and a learning environment.
