About The Position

The Cross Family of Agencies is seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive. This client-facing role is responsible for supporting client relationship management for a renewal book of business and building insurance programs tailored to clients' daily business operations and exposures. The Account Executive will also contribute to creating and pursuing new or expanded business opportunities for Cross Insurance with existing or prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of insurance experience in a client-facing role.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of commercial property & casualty insurance coverages and products and can advise clients accordingly.
  • Ability to facilitate an effective team dynamic.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and present critical insurance data.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management skills including attention to detail, effective deliverables, time management and prioritization.
  • Commercial Lines Producer License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AMS360, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships with consistent, value-added engagement between Cross and its client.
  • Employ technical knowledge of insurance coverages and products to develop detailed, effective, state-of-the-art insurance strategies for Cross Commercial Lines clients - renewal or new business opportunities.
  • Manage the entire new business or renewal sales cycle by working with account manager, managing timelines and communication.
  • Organize and implement all necessary resources available for client needs including Account Management, Claims, and Risk Control.
  • Collect necessary client information, financial data, and applicable applications.
  • Lead efforts to build and maintain detailed client records for renewal or new business presentations – renewal metrics, schedule of insurance, marketing history, trend analysis, historic exposures etc.
  • Fully understands and adheres to the Cross Basic Procedure Manual and workflow.
  • Negotiate and follow-up with underwriters for the timely receipt of quotes.
  • Accurately Complete CL Checklist and indicate coverages that should be recommended.
  • Prepare and present new business and renewal proposals to clients/prospects.
  • Collect Agency Bill premiums before binding.
  • Engage with account manager to help resolve any daily service hurdles, such as audit disputes.
