About The Position

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to join a team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of 50-75 commercial clients, ranging from $2,500 to $75,000 in revenue. You will serve as the primary relationship manager and insurance advisor, overseeing all aspects of account management, from renewal planning to policy delivery and ongoing service. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in commercial property and casualty insurance, capable of independently managing complex client relationships and delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance, preferably in an independent agency or brokerage environment.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial coverages, including property, general liability, auto, workers' compensation, umbrella, and management liability.
  • Experience leading renewals and marketing accounts to multiple carriers.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Applied Epic is a significant plus.
  • Active Property and Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain promptly after hire).
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service.

  • Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, CRM, or CISR are valued but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and insurance advisor for an assigned portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s operations, exposures, and coverage needs.
  • Lead the annual renewal process, including gathering exposure information, reviewing loss history, preparing submissions, and coordinating internal responsibilities.
  • Conduct thorough coverage reviews to identify gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop renewal and marketing strategies in collaboration with producers.
  • Prepare and present renewal options and recommendations to clients in a consultative manner.
  • Market new and renewal business, negotiate terms with carriers, and ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, certificates, audits, and other account activities.
  • Assist clients with claims reporting and advocate for effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Applied Epic and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and other market partners.
  • Collaborate with producers to support retention, cross-selling, and new business opportunities.
