About The Position

The Commercial Lender, VP owns and grows a commercial loan portfolio, serving as a trusted advisor to clients. The role combines relationship management, credit expertise, and strategic thinking, covering relationships ranging from small to complex. The lender analyzes financial information, structures and negotiates loans, monitors portfolio performance and risk, and presents recommendations and updates to the Executive Loan Committee. The role also develops new business, deepens client relationships, and works cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or credit risk management.
• Expertise in financial statement analysis, cash flow, and tax return review.
• Understanding of lending regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to assess risk and make sound, data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio ranging from small to complex relationships.
• Analyze financial statements to assess creditworthiness, cash flow, and risk exposure.
• Structure and negotiate loan terms, including pricing, repayment, and collateral.
• Monitor loan performance and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Identify risk and proactively manage portfolio health.
• Prepare and present loan recommendations, modifications, and portfolio updates to the Executive Loan Committee.
• Partner with prospects and existing clients to drive new business and deepen relationships.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional client experience.
