About The Position

C2O Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to support a major LNG facility project in Southern Louisiana. The Commercial Lead will be responsible for supporting commercial management, contract administration, change management, cost oversight, vendor coordination, and client-facing commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle. This role will work closely with project leadership, procurement, project controls, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to ensure commercial alignment, contractual compliance, and effective management of project risks and obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Contract Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in commercial management, contract administration, procurement, project controls, or project management support within LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract management, change management, claims support, procurement processes, cost control, and project execution methodologies.
  • Experience working with EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and vendor commercial terms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify commercial risks, evaluate contractual impacts, and support practical resolution strategies.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary EPC project environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale LNG, petrochemical, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with project controls, earned value, cost forecasting, procurement systems, and contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Professional certifications such as CCM, CPCM, PMP, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining commercial, contractual, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • LNG project experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial management activities for assigned project scopes, contracts, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Support contract administration, commercial correspondence, claims management, change order review, and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate with project leadership, procurement, project controls, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Review contract terms, commercial requirements, deliverables, milestones, and obligations to ensure project alignment.
  • Support cost tracking, invoice review, payment validation, budget monitoring, and commercial forecasting activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and escalate commercial risks, cost impacts, schedule impacts, and contractual issues.
  • Participate in negotiations, change management reviews, risk assessments, and issue resolution meetings.
  • Prepare commercial reports, status updates, contract summaries, and management presentations.
  • Support procurement and vendor management activities, including bid evaluations, award recommendations, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, project governance standards, and applicable contractual obligations.
