About The Position

StackAdapt is seeking a Commercial Finance Lead to join its newly formed Commercial Finance team. This role will partner closely with the revenue organization to drive profitable, scalable, and long-term value. The Commercial Finance Lead will provide financial rigor and insights to review commercial opportunities, analyze financial performance, and support strategic business cases. This is a remote-first position open to candidates in the United States or Canada.

Requirements

  • 5–6 years post-professional qualification (CPA or equivalent) experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Business Analytics, ideally within a high-growth or global technology environment.
  • Proven ability to build complex financial models (e.g. pricing simulations, investment proposals, business cases) and extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with Sales leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Google Sheets know-how is a plus.
  • AI skills and experience of utilising LLMs at work is a significant plus.
  • Experience with data tools like Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and commercial tools is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the revenue team with commercial negotiations through the review and approval of deals and initiatives.
  • Create financial models to assess proposals and pricing options.
  • Collaborate x-functionally to ensure alignment across the business.
  • Provide finance support to divisional and regional revenue leaders, offering detailed financial analysis and insights into performance, profitability, planning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate across Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Credit/AR), Revenue Operations, and Legal teams to ensure end-to-end alignment on commercial activity, financial results, and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain tools to track revenue and profitability performance against expectations, identifying opportunities and providing actionable insights.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to proactively identify key trends, risks, and growth opportunities to guide leadership.
