Requirements

• College diploma in damage insurance.
• 5 years of experience in the field of commercial insurance - property and liability.
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada, or be in the process of obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Respond to broker requests regarding the quality of submitted risks by conducting appropriate investigations, with the goal of accepting or refusing a risk or imposing specific conditions.
• Provide brokers with the reasons for accepting or refusing certain requests so they can provide accurate information to clients.
• Negotiate risk pricing with brokers, while being aware that the decisions made have an impact on the company's profitability and the development of relationships with brokers.
• Develop business relationships with brokers based on winning and tailored solutions for them, excellent service, and frequent contact with them.
• Contribute to the improvement of procedures by offering suggestions.
• Obtain the various reports necessary for good underwriting (such as financial reports), analyze them, and take appropriate action.
• Participate in occasional meetings with our brokers.
