About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Senior Claim Representative for the McGriff Specialty Team. This role involves maintaining accurate records in the claim management system, obtaining and reporting loss/claim information, advising customers on claims filing processes, responding to customer inquiries regarding claim status, assisting producers and the claims team with claim status and special projects, responding to company requests for policy information for claim settlements, maintaining a diary system for claim follow-up, and updating the claim injury system. MMA offers business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions, combining local service with global resources.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Two years oil and gas/energy insurance or claims experience
Adjustors license
Operates under the direction of claims
Strong client relation skills to build and contacts; including excellent communication tactfulness to resolve client and company
Considerable knowledge of basic company applications

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of risk transfers
Prior brokerage experience
Knowledge of McGriff's claim management / agency management system or ability to learn quickly

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records and appropriate accounting in claim management system.
Obtain specific information regarding loss/claim to report to the company, when necessary.
Advise customers on necessary processes for claims filing.
Respond to customers regarding claims status.
Assist producers and claims team with claims status and special projects.
Respond to company requests for policy information as necessary for claim settlements.
Maintain own diary system for use in periodic follow up on selected claims.
Update all screens on claim injury system.
