The Commercial Insurance Sales Producer is responsible for driving new business and growing the agency’s commercial property and casualty portfolio. This role focuses on prospecting, developing client relationships, and delivering tailored risk management and insurance solutions. The Producer serves as a trusted advisor, helping clients protect their businesses while contributing to overall agency revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Active Georgia Property & Casualty License required
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial insurance sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management strategies
  • Solid understanding of brokerage operations, including compliance with insurance laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems (AMS360 or Applied Epic preferred), as well as carrier platforms
  • Demonstrated sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and company information
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 75%
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through referrals, networking, industry associations, and targeted outreach.
  • Generate new business by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate commercial insurance products and services.
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings with clients and prospects at their place of business or other offsite locations.
  • Perform thorough needs assessments, including evaluating current coverage, identifying gaps, and understanding long-term business objectives.
  • Prepare and submit applications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with underwriting requirements to secure coverage approval.
  • Present proposals, close sales, and deliver policies to clients, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships through regular follow-ups, policy reviews, and service support to drive retention and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support staff to ensure a high level of client service and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and support team members in sales strategies and client service best practices as needed.
  • Stay current on industry trends, carrier guidelines, and product offerings through continuing education and professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
