About The Position
As a Commercial Insurance Associate, you will apply your superior attention to detail and excellent client service skills while working closely with a team of Producers and Marketers on our Commercial accounts. You will help build long-term relationships with our clients with helping to answer client inquires and requests through policy and coverage insurers.
Requirements
- Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
- Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
- Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet their desired needs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Works well in a fast paced, client-focused environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
Responsibilities
- Assist producer and marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
- Meet existing clients’ needs and process documentation (Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, Customer Correspondence)
- Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client
- Contact clients for renewal information
- Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages, accept and process online quotes
- Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price so as to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer
- Update client information as changes occur
- Answer account related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
- Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry
- Will be assigned some minimal, but regular duties to help support the floater position
