About The Position

Seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Commercial Insurance Agency Claims Consultant to join the team. This role involves acting as a trusted advocate for clients, providing expert guidance and support throughout the claims process. Knowledge and experience in agency claims will be essential in delivering exceptional service, ensuring clients stay informed and confident during every step of the process. The Claims Consultant will be responsible for managing claims, addressing potential coverage issues, and advocating on behalf of clients to carriers. This position requires someone who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to fostering client satisfaction and trust.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance claims handling, agency claims advocacy, or a similar role.
• Expertise in commercial insurance policies, including liability, property, and workers' compensation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client-focused approach.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex claims effectively.
• Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and professional integrity.
• Licensed Property and Casualty Agent.
• Claims Adjuster License or industry designations such as AIC, CPCU, or ARM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary advocate for clients, managing commercial insurance claims from initiation through resolution.
• Assist clients in understanding policy coverage, conditions, exclusions, and the claims process.
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and adjusters to ensure accurate and timely claim resolution while protecting clients' interests.
• Provide proactive communication to clients and stakeholders regarding claim status, updates, and key developments.
• Assess coverage issues and escalate to subject-matter experts or additional resources when necessary.
• Review and evaluate claims documentation, including estimates, invoices, and adjuster reports, to ensure fairness and accuracy.
• Identify trends and offer claims mitigation and risk management recommendations to clients and agency leadership.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through integrity, trust, and professional service.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all claim-related activities and correspondence in the agency’s CRM or claims management system.
• Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, changes, and best practices to enhance service delivery.
