Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician

The Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems safely, efficiently, and professionally. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality work, strong customer service, and solving problems in the field.
Requirements
- 2+ years of HVAC service experience
- 2+ years of commercial refrigeration service experience
- EPA Certification
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift equipment and work in outdoor conditions or confined spaces
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Residential and/or commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience
- NATE Certification
- ServiceTitan experience
- Experience with maintenance agreements and upselling
- Experience in fast-paced service environments
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and equipment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and production-line refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Communicate repair recommendations and solutions clearly with customers
- Complete service calls safely, efficiently, and accurately
- Maintain proper documentation, invoices, and service records
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance
- Support team productivity and overall branch success
