About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC / Refrigeration Service Technician to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide variety of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a solid understanding of refrigeration and electrical systems, and the ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

Requirements

  • Commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience
  • EPA Section 608 certification
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening
  • Ability to meet access requirements for government, institutional, and secured facilities
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration principles and system operation
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
  • Ability to properly use meters, gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery equipment, and other HVAC diagnostic tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to accurately document service work and findings

  • Experience with commercial rooftop units (RTUs)
  • Experience with air handling units (AHUs)
  • Experience with makeup air units (MAUs) and energy recovery units (ERUs/ERVs)
  • Experience with split systems and commercial heat pumps

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Perform planned maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and hydronic system failures
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation
  • Verify proper equipment operation following repairs
  • Perform equipment startups and commissioning as required
  • Document service findings, recommendations, and repairs clearly and accurately
  • Communicate professionally with customers, facility personnel, and internal team members
  • Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle
  • Follow company safety procedures and customer site requirements
  • Assist and support fellow technicians when needed
  • Participate in training and continuing technical development
