About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC / Refrigeration Service Technician to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide variety of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a solid understanding of refrigeration and electrical systems, and the ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

Requirements

Commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience
EPA Section 608 certification
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to successfully complete required background screening
Ability to meet access requirements for government, institutional, and secured facilities
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of refrigeration principles and system operation
Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Ability to properly use meters, gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery equipment, and other HVAC diagnostic tools
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Ability to accurately document service work and findings

Experience with commercial rooftop units (RTUs)
Experience with air handling units (AHUs)
Experience with makeup air units (MAUs) and energy recovery units (ERUs/ERVs)
Experience with split systems and commercial heat pumps
Experience with multi-zone VRF/VRV systems
Experience with air-cooled and centrifugal chillers
Experience with commercial boilers and hydronic heating systems
Experience with chilled-water systems, pumps, motors, and VFDs
Experience with low-temperature refrigeration
Experience with commercial HVAC electrical and control systems

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
Perform planned maintenance and equipment inspections
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and hydronic system failures
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation
Verify proper equipment operation following repairs
Perform equipment startups and commissioning as required
Document service findings, recommendations, and repairs clearly and accurately
Communicate professionally with customers, facility personnel, and internal team members
Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle
Follow company safety procedures and customer site requirements
Assist and support fellow technicians when needed
Participate in training and continuing technical development
