About The Position

Under the guidance and direction of the Chief Engineer, our Facilities Engineer supports the Facilities team during day-to-day shift operations. The Facilities Engineer will answer calls, repair equipment, complete inspections and facility walkthroughs, perform preventative maintenance, and complete projects as assigned. The Facilities Engineer practices and assures all safety precautions are followed while always wearing appropriate PPE. This role requires technical knowledge of the construction and maintenance work involved, and the ability to use cost-estimating methods. Must be able to follow safety guidelines and make sure all OSHA safety guidelines are adhered to. Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS). Presents a positive image of the company to guests and vendors and assists them as required. Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Graveyard Hours: 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

  • Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration: Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems is required.
  • Technical Maintenance Skills: Proficient in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, mechanical systems, carpentry, masonry, kitchen equipment, solar, painting, welding, flooring, doors and locks, and general facility repairs.
  • Diagnostics & Tools: Able to read meters, gauges, blueprints, and use testing instruments to troubleshoot and identify issues accurately.
  • Safety & Compliance: Knowledgeable in OSHA safety standards, proper PPE use.
  • Customer Service: Provides excellent service to guests, vendors, and team members with clear, professional communication.
  • Problem-Solving & Time Management: Strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and effective task prioritization.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism: Works well with engineering leadership and maintains a positive, professional image.
  • Three years' minimum maintenance worker or equivalent experience required.
  • Must be familiar with boom lifts/scissor lifts.
  • Must obtain certification for forklift/or other heavy equipment within the first year of employment.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner with tenants, Team Members, and vendors.
  • Available for emergency call-in, possible weekend and overnight shifts.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance and operations.
  • Knowledgeable in 4 or more disciplines: HVAC, plumbing, electronics, carpentry, painting, diesel systems, hydraulics, water distribution or treatment, fire suppression systems, kitchen equipment, solar, metal fabrication, landscaping, heavy equipment operation, or general trades.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding customer service to guests and all other Team Members.
  • Responsible for timely repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, boilers, chillers, and any other pieces of equipment that would need service.
  • Responsible for reading meters, gauges, and other testing instruments accurately and effectively in order to detect and identify problems and determine the appropriate path for repairs.
  • Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of repairs and preventive maintenance reports.
  • Perform departmental technical projects which will include, but not be limited to, electrical and mechanical equipment repair or other duties as required.
  • Landscaping/sprinkler maintenance.
  • Perform carpentry repairs.
  • Perform plumbing repairs.
  • Perform electrical repairs.
  • Perform masonry work.
